What to send for a CGI project.

A CGI image is only as accurate as the data behind it. The good news: most brands already have almost everything we need. Here is the list, and why each part matters.

No CAD files? That's fine

Plenty of brands don't have clean 3D files for every product. Drawings with dimensions, plus good photos from several angles, are enough to model a product accurately. It adds modelling time, which shows up in the quote, but it only happens once: the model is there for every image after that.

A brief in five lines

It doesn't need to be long. Something like this is enough for a fixed quote:

New oak dining table, two sizes, three finishes. CAD attached. One lifestyle roomset with three cameras, plus packshots of each finish on white. For the website, the catalogue and our dealers. Print deadline 15 March.

If something is missing, we ask before quoting.

What you don't need to send

Props, styling, locations and lighting plans. We build the scene and propose the camera, mood and materials, and you approve the direction before the final renders start.

Material samples: a cabinet front with handle, marble, stone and fabric
Finish samples: the most accurate reference for how a material looks in light.
